(ConservativeCore.com)- According to a new study from Morning Consult, former US president Donald Trump would win a majority of the vote in a crowded Republican primary in 2024.
The poll shows that Trump’s popularity has increased in the past week, reaching a new high. There were 50% who supported Trump at the conclusion of February. This week, that percentage rose to 53%.
There is no other actual or prospective competitor. Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida only polls at 28%. What this means is that in just under a month, Trump’s and DeSantis’ respective margins of victory had widened from 20% to 25%.
The poll showed Nikki Haley, who officially entered the presidential campaign last month, saw her support drop from six percent to four percent after her announcement. Seven percent of voters would choose former VP Mike Pence, but just two percent would vote for former Rep. Liz Cheney.
Governor Greg Abbott of Texas, Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota, Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina each received one percent of the vote.
Trump, Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy have officially entered the contest, but Ramaswamy received 0% of the vote.
The study found that 47% of DeSantis supporters voted for Trump as their second-choice candidate, while just 14% voted for Haley. After him, Pence received 11%, and Scott received 5%.
Donald Trump also breaks records for viewership and attendance.
The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center hosted Donald Trump’s CPAC address. There is enough seating for 5,520 individuals in the Potomac Ballroom. The ballroom where Trump spoke was jammed to capacity, and an additional large crowd gathered outside to observe.
Almost two million people had seen Trump’s address on his channel on YouTube alone as of the night of his speech. In addition, Rumble’s Right Side Broadcasting Network carried Trump’s address, which was seen by over 555k users.
