Gisele Bündchen, the supermodel and former wife of NFL star Tom Brady, has lashed out at Netflix for screening a no-holds-barred roast of her ex-husband that mocked and ridiculed her and her children. The Brazilian reportedly said she is “disappointed” by the documentary’s “irresponsible content,” which she described as disrespectful. The mother-of-two added that it had a detrimental impact on her children.
During the roast, Drew Bledsoe, Nikki Glaser, Ron Burgundy, and Andrew Schulz blasted the ex-quarterback, making several jokes about his divorce and his ex-wife’s new boyfriend, karate coach Joaquim Valente. At one point, comedian Kevin Hart implied that Brady chose football over his wife and children because “you gotta do what you gotta do. F*** them, kids.”
Hart later gifted Mr. Brady a six-carat ring containing almost 400 precious stones valued at $40,000. The ring featured a gold football, the name Brady, and the initials GROAT, spelling out the name of the Netflix show, The Greatest Roast of All Time.
Brady and Bündchen divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage. They have a 13-year-old son, Benjamin, and a 10-year-old daughter, Vivian. They met in 2006 when a mutual friend organized a blind date.
Months after they parted ways, the supermodel spoke about the split for the first time and said rumors that she ended the marriage because he refused to retire from football were untrue. She said she would have cheered him from the sidelines forever and wished him the best in his career, but they had grown apart and no longer wanted the same things in life.
While her ex-husband was being roasted for a Netflix show, Bündchen was in her native Brazil working with an aid agency as people in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul experienced some of the worst flooding in its history. The model reportedly said she was very upset to learn she had been the subject of mockery when she returned.
