After splitting up with Sacha Baron Cohen after nearly 14 years of marriage, Isla Fisher appears to have sent “Borat” a less-than-veiled message.
As the 48-year-old actress watched Robbie Williams perform at his London performance on Tuesday, she shared a revealing statement on Instagram.
The Wedding Crashers actress reposted Robbie’s famous song “Angels,” whose lyrics he had previously disclosed deal with loss and sadness, alongside a photo from the concert.
“I’m loving angels, instead,” so says the lyrics.
After breaking up her fourteen-year marriage to Sacha, Isla has been enjoying life to the fullest.
At the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Monday, the actress appeared happy as she chatted and laughed with handsome British actor Ben Barnes. During a fiery chat with the star of The Chronicles of Narnia, who sat in the row in front of her, the newly single celebrity flung her head back and chuckled.
The 52-year-old Isla and Sacha made their separation announcement public in April of this year.
As a symbol of their marriage, the happy couple shared a photo of themselves playing tennis as an announcement, adding that the pair had eventually laid down their racquets after a long tennis match that lasted over 20 years.
Isla has recently expressed her intention to relocate to the UK, suggesting that the pair is handling their breakup with an exceptional degree of amicability. The news broke last month that Isla is looking for a new home in the north London neighborhood of Hampstead.
Sacha allegedly had a hard time adjusting to life in Australia in 2020 after making the “sacrifice” to move her family there, and insiders say the marriage had been “shaky” for a long time before that.
Rumor has it that Sacha is reportedly buying a home in London and will maintain a rental property in Los Angeles for his business.
