SHOCK: British Ambassador to U.S. Tells Ukraine to Work With Trump

As Europe faces mounting pressure to adapt to Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda, Britain’s Ambassador to the U.S. is calling for Ukraine to immediately yield to Trump’s peace plan and economic demands. The bold proposal comes after a disastrous meeting between President Trump and President Zelenskyy that threatens to reshape the entire Ukrainian conflict.

Trump-Zelensky Fallout Triggers Reset Demands

The tense relationship between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reached a breaking point, with Britain’s Ambassador to the U.S. now advocating for Ukraine to submit to Trump’s demands. The diplomatic fallout follows a contentious meeting where Zelenskyy left early after refusing to sign a deal granting the U.S. access to Ukraine’s valuable mineral rights – a move Trump claimed would help deter Russia.

Lord Peter Mandelson, appearing on ABC News’ “This Week,” was brutally honest about the situation, calling for a complete reorientation of European strategic priorities. The Ambassador emphasized that Europe must adapt to Trump’s expectations that European nations handle their own security concerns rather than relying on American support.

And this comes after Mandelson was reportedly on the chopping block, with President Trump set to reject his appointment by the British government. Have a guess why he’s being so supportive of Trump, then!

Mandelson’s “Radical Reset” Plan

At the heart of Mandelson’s proposal is what he describes as a “radical reset” requiring Ukraine to fully capitulate to Trump’s peace initiative. This reset would fundamentally alter Europe’s geopolitical strategy and prioritize American interests in the Ukrainian conflict resolution process.

“We need a very radical reset. The reset has to consist of the US and Ukraine getting back on the same page. And President Zelenskyy giving his unequivocal backing to the initiative that President Trump is taking to end the war and to bring a just and lasting peace to Ukraine,” Lord Mandelson said.

The Ambassador specifically called for Zelenskyy to take the first step in declaring a ceasefire and to sign an economic agreement with the United States. This agreement, involving Ukraine’s valuable natural resources, would give America substantial commercial interests in the country, which Mandelson argues would incentivize continued U.S. protection against Russian aggression.

The stakes appear exceptionally high for Ukraine, with Trump’s national security adviser Mike Waltz suggesting a new Ukrainian leader may be needed if Zelenskyy refuses to cooperate with Trump’s plan. This remarkable statement signals the administration’s willingness to influence Ukraine’s leadership if it doesn’t align with American interests.

“After what happened on Friday it’s clear that we need to bring the US and Ukraine back together again. I think the first thing that President Zelenskyy can do is make clear his commitment to the initiative that President Trump is taking and yes, I do think it would be a good idea if he signed the economic and commercial deal put forward by the US. Quite apart from the economic gain that Ukraine will derive from that it will also give the US a stake in Ukraine’s future,” Lord Mandelson said.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has attempted to mediate between the two leaders, but sources indicate the U.S. administration blocked Zelenskyy’s return to the White House. Starmer now aims to work with other European nations to devise a plan that will satisfy Trump’s demands while providing some security guarantees for Ukraine.
