Following July 13th’s attempted murder of former president Donald Trump, at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Sarah Palin, a former GOP vice presidential candidate, urged Americans to unite.
The ex-governor of Alaska wrote on social media that America was attacked that day after the shooting at the event. America has to pull itself together.
Thomas Matthew Crooks (20) of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, has been named as the perpetrator in the attempted assassination that occurred during the rally and wounded Trump in the ear.
The FBI apprehended crooks. Sadly, one person in the audience was murdered, and two others were hurt.
Palin said that now we must stand together in the face of the gravity of the situation and the shameful political assaults on individuals and groups that we have just seen. It is a question of life and death in the strictest sense. And let us not forget that it is all because of God’s grace. Trump stands strong.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. The FBI is working to determine a motive for the attack. Crooks lived about an hour away from the scene in Butler, Pennsylvania. The Federal Aviation Administration closed airspace over Bethel Park for special security reasons.
Crooks was purportedly a registered Republican, and the upcoming Nov. 5 election would have been the first time he had been old enough to vote in a presidential race.
However, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission in 2021, Crooks gave $15 to ActBlue when he was seventeen years old. ActBlue is a political action committee (PAC) that supports Democrats and other candidates with left-leaning platforms. The Progressive Turnout Project, the national organization that encourages Democrats to cast ballots, was designated as the beneficiary of the gift.
Perhaps Crooks was involved with Primary Pivot, an organization headed by a leftist activist who thought that promoting Nikki Haley would be the best way to oust Trump.
Matthew Crooks (53), Crooks’s father, told the media that he was trying to figure out what happened and would not comment on his son until he had spoken with authorities.
