White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned by Real Clear Politics (RCP) White House Correspondent Philip Wegmann whether President Joe Biden agrees with Special Counsel Durham that the FBI needs sweeping reforms. When asked about Special Counsel Durham’s report on the FBI’s handling of the Russia investigation, the White House remained silent.
On Tuesday, the reporter pursued the White House press secretary about Biden’s response to the Durham report, and Jean-Pierre walked away.
On Monday, Special Counsel John Durham issued his final report, in which he concluded that the FBI did not have any reliable information when it began the Crossfire Hurricane investigation against Trump in 2016.
Peter Strzok, on the (unfounded) assumption that Russian spies were embedded in Trump’s inner circle, launched a counter-intel inquiry codenamed “Crossfire Hurricane” in July 2016.
Clinton’s fabricated falsehoods about Russia were the foundation of the counter-intel probe.
According to the report, Durham slammed Hillary Clinton’s plans that whipped up allegations about US Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and his campaign by linking him to Putin and the Russians’ hack of the Democrat National Committee.
Both ex-President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden took part as well.
John Durham claims that in August 2016, then-CIA Director John Brennan briefed Obama and Biden about Hillary Clinton’s effort to connect Trump’s campaign to Russia.
At the end of July 2016, US intelligence agencies gained access to a Russian intelligence assessment that claimed Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump was linked to Russian breaching of the Democrat National Committee’s servers and that Hillary Clinton had approved the strategy.
According to the Durham examination, the Intelligence Community is unaware of the veracity of this allegation regarding the degree to whereby the Russian intelligence evaluation may reflect hyperbole or fabrication.
The report claims that on July 26, 2016, Hillary Clinton approved an idea from one of her foreign affairs consultants to discredit Donald Trump and that CIA Director John Brennan later updated President Obama and other senior national security officials.
