Over 68K Illegal Migrants With Criminal Records Awarded DACA Over 12 Years

Nearly one million illegal aliens have been granted temporary protection from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which was established by former President Obama in 2012 via an executive order.

Now. thanks to President Joe Biden’s DACA program, which had very lax standards, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with a history of violent crimes, including rape, murder, abduction, and sex abuse, were allowed to get work permits and deferred deportation.

Federal data provided in November 2019 by the administration of former President Donald Trump revealed the number of illegal aliens with past offenses who were allowed to apply for and be awarded DACA.

Nearly 68,000 illegal immigrants with a history of arrests have been given DACA as of October 2019, whereas less than 30,000 had been refused or saw their DACA status revoked due to a previous conviction.

Over 25,000 undocumented immigrants were granted deferred action for criminal prosecution (DACA) despite prior convictions for DUI, more than 3,300 for violent assaults, nearly 1,500 for burglary, nearly 600 for hit-and-run, 259 for sex abuse or rape of children, over 170 for kidnapping, 62 for rape, over 30 for cruelty to animals, 15 for murder, 5 for manslaughter, and 2 for possession of illegal pornography.

The 800,000 illegal aliens participating in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program were cautioned by Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) Director of Policy Jessica Vaughan during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing against the imposition of amnesty.

Many people with criminal records were able to receive DACA, which raised worries about the screening process, according to Vaughan. Twelve percent of DACA petitioners had convictions on their records, yet eighty-five percent of them were approved, according to a USCIS study.

The murders of Josh Hampton, Steven Marler, and a woman who was believed to have been an accomplice in their murders were committed by DACA illegal alien Luis Perez, who was sentenced to five consecutive life terms in 2023.

For the terrorization and sexual assault of a three-year-old child in Arizona, DACA illegal immigrant Francisco Javier Rios-Covarrubias received a 35-year sentence in 2018.

In honor of the 12th anniversary of DACA, Biden, together with Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of the Department of Homeland Security, had the audacity to urge Congress to enact an amnesty program that would provide green cards and, in due time, citizenship to these illegal aliens.
