Former first lady Melania Trump was spotted for the first time since her husband, former President Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 charges of falsifying business records last week. Since the start of Trump’s trial back in April, rumors began to swirl on the whereabouts of his wife Melania, who had not publicly been seen. On May 31st, Donald Trump was convicted on the charges he faced of allegedly paying adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in 2016 to cover up the actress’s claims of an affair between the two ten years prior.
On Tuesday, Melania Trump was caught by the media leaving her New York City residence, which was the former first lady’s first public appearance since Trump’s recent conviction. The New York Post captured photos of Melania leaving the famous Trump Tower with her and Trump’s 18-year-old son, Barron Trump as the two entered a black bulletproof SUV accompanied by Secret Service agents. Along with Melania and her son, several Louis Vuitton luggage bags were seen being loaded into the vehicle.
According to the outlet, Melania and her son were headed to New Jersey, where Donald Trump owns an estate in Bedminster. This marks Melania Trump’s first public appearance in nearly two weeks. Due to her recent absence from public presence, many rumors spiraled that something wrong had happened to the former First Lady, such as that she had been “held up” in Trump Tower since May 23rd, days before her husband’s conviction.
In the past weeks, social media had been flooded by rumors of former President Trump holding his wife hostage during the infamous trial, which also took place in Manhattan. However, it seems as though Melania’s absence surrounding the trial spared her from adult film actress Stormy Daniel’s testimony, which vividly detailed an intimate encounter between her and Trump. In a recent interview with Fox and Friends, Donald Trump stated his wife was “fine”.
