Meghan Helping Prince Harry ‘Move On’ From His Working Royal Past

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had a remarkable journey since leaving the United Kingdom and abandoning their royal duties – and while the rest of the world watches as Markle’s grip over her royal husband tightens, the media seems to be painting her as some kind of…savior.

Reports in recent days describe how one royal expert argued that Markle is “helping” Harry move on from royal life…as if being the brother of the future King of England, and the patron of an untold number of charities in his home country, was a bad life to begin with.

Jennie Bond, a royal expert who frequently provides commentary to the BBC, described how Markle is helping Harry “leave the past behind and move on” from the entire ordeal.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, a popular British tabloid magazine, Bond said that Meghan may be doing something “healthy” for her husband.

“If Meghan is encouraging Harry to leave the past behind and move on, then I think it is a healthy move,” Bond said. “They have made their decision, left the working royal family and left the UK.”

Sure, if that’s the case, then why did they subject the people of Columbia to a pseudo-royal visit? Met with fanfare and performances, the couple visited the country as part of a campaign to promote their charity, The Archewell Foundation – but the similarities to a normal royal visit were very visible and were instantly picked up on by the world’s media.

During her interview, Bond said that “brooding on the perceived injustices of the past” and constantly re-living old arguments is a “waste of life,” adding that she believes Meghan “sees that.”

It’s a hard one to square with the fact that Markle herself seems to be the cause of all the quarrels that Harry is struggling with. Ask yourself, if Markle was never in the picture and if she hadn’t attempted to make her role as a royal political, would Harry have ever fallen out with his family in such a spectacular and public way?

Come on…
