Kanye West’s Former Assistant Sues Him for Harassment

Famous music artist and fashion designer Kanye West, who now goes by just Ye, is no stranger to controversy. It seems as though in the past many of West’s career highlights have been fueled by the controversy he had initially created. From his 2009 VMA outburst with Taylor Swift to his recent antisemitic comments in 2022 that removed him from billionaire status, Kanye West is no stranger to stirring the pot. However in recent times, Mr. West may be deeper in drama than he believed he could handle, as a recent lawsuit filed by an employee of his has targeted him for harassment.

At the beginning of June, ex-YZY employee Lauren Pisciotta claimed that the Runaway rapper had sent her obscene text messages in the past along with videos of West performing NSFW material. Pisciotta claimed in her filings that she was fired from YZY in 2022, and never received the $3 million severance package she was promised. Prior to her affiliation with the company, Pisciotta claimed that she was supporting herself as an OnlyFans model until 2021 when she met West to work on his album Donda, as well as to work on West’s first female fashion line for his brand Yeezy.

On top of this, Pisciotta claims that West mainly hired her to be his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million on the promise that Pisciotta would be available to West 24/7, to which Pisciotta says she agreed. In September of 2022, Pisciotta was promoted to Chief of Staff for Yeezy and other companies owned by West, where her lawsuit then claims she was fired not long after, without receiving her promised severance package.

Aside from Pisciotta suing West for harassment, the ex-Yeezy employee is also suing the famous rapper for a breach of contract and wrongful termination. Kanye West, who is fresh off his latest chart-topping release, Vultures 1, has not yet commented.
