The problem of illegal migration has grown considerably worse over the last four years and the presidency of the 46th commander in chief of the United States Joe Biden. Biden has appeared unable to address the growing problem at the nations southern border, and his Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has come under significant criticism and pressure from Conservatives in Washington D.C. and across the nation for his handling of the crisis. Many have accused the President and the Secretary of turning a blind eye to the massive flow of foreign nationals entering the country for political reasons. Additionally, the fact that the federal government and state governments everywhere dominated by progressive Democrats continue to allocate exorbitant amounts of public funds to provide for foreigners while Americans suffer fiscally and socially has been often perceived as “slap-in-the-face” by so many hard working and law abiding citizens. In a 2022 article written by Newsweek, the $800 million federal omnibus spending earmark for shelter constructions to house foreign arrivals and illegals was called an insult while millions of Americans remain homeless, with 40% of those African Americans.
Additionally, as the New York Post projects that the federal backlog for migrants is set to reach 8 million individuals by the autumn of the calendar year of 2024 as the election approaches (a 167% increase since 2019), crime levels have soared in many of Americas cities. The problem is likely to worsen.
In a recent report by Fox News, ICE recently confirmed that one of two Jordanian citizens who attempted to illegally enter the United States Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia entered the country illegally in April of this year before being “released” into the interior of the country. Conservatives have argued that this is clear evidence that the immigration policies promoted by the Biden administration are failing, and that the national security of the nation is at risk.
