Hunter Biden conveyed to his business associate Devon Archer that Che Feng, a Chinese business magnate, appreciated him for his family name and his entourage of attractive men, as indicated by emails that Fox News Digital has seen.
The emails from 2011 disclose Hunter’s pride in his connections with Che Feng, whom he and his colleagues nicknamed “The Super Chairman.” They show Feng’s assistance in securing a partnership between Hunter’s firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, James Bulger’s Thornton Group LLC, and Jonathan Li’s Bohai Capital, leading to the creation of Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), overseen by Bank of China Limited.
This news follows a recent report of Archer’s testimony to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. In a private interview, he revealed that while Joe Biden was Vice President, he met with Li and penned a college recommendation letter for Li’s daughter.
The email conversation started on September 21, 2011, when the co-founder of Bulger’s Thornton Group Michael Lin sent a description of the joint venture with Li to Hunter and Bulger.
Lin’s email conveyed details about the cooperation terms and reported positive news from a meeting with the “Super Chairman” in Hong Kong. He included an encouraging quote from Feng, who expressed interest in involving other companies backed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the venture.
Lin’s enthusiasm about the potential collaboration with large Chinese investment firms was evident, and he communicated optimism about sitting on the same board with entities like China Investment Corp.
Hunter forwarded Lin’s email to Archer, his co-founder at Rosemont Seneca Partners, and expressed that if they could secure 7 percent of the fund, it would be a significant achievement. Archer agreed, acknowledging the reality of the opportunity and expressing belief in the “Super Chairman.”
Hunter later explained to Archer why he thought Feng was so fond of him, attributing it to his last name and the attractive men he associated with rather than his personal qualities.
Former Vice President Biden traveled to Beijing to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. While there, his son Hunter arranged a brief handshake between Li and his father in the hotel lobby where the American delegation was staying. Subsequently, Hunter had a private meeting with Li, according to a report from the New Yorker.
Within two weeks following Biden’s arrival in China, BHR Partners was officially registered.
