A Georgia grand jury accused former President Donald Trump on Monday of interfering with the outcome of the 2020 election. However, Democrats have refused to recognize the results of elections they have lost for decades.
President Joe Biden, two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Representatives Maxine Waters (D-CA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams are among the more than 150 examples of Democrats denying election results.
According to the Republican National Committee, every Democratic president elected to office since 1977 has cast doubt on the integrity of American elections. Biden said this about Al Gore losing the 2000 presidential election in 2013 and 2016. In May 2019, Biden undoubtedly said he agreed with the idea that Trump was an “illegitimate president.” President Biden had thrown doubt on the integrity of the 2022 midterm elections.
When asked in 2006 whether he was sure that the 2004 election in Ohio was properly determined,” then-DNC Chairman Howard Dean said, “not certain.”
Nancy Pelosi acknowledged there were “serious worries” about the “purity” of U.S. elections and believed it was “acceptable” to discuss the 2004 election. In 2004, then-Representative Bernie Sanders (I-VT) expressed concern about the reliability of electronic voting machines due to the lack of a paper record.
The 2016 election was called into question by Democrats as well. Seven Democrats in the House of Representatives attempted to challenge the 2016 election’s electoral votes. Some 67 Democrats refused to attend President Trump’s inauguration in 2017 because they didn’t recognize his win over Hillary.
Hillary Clinton indicated in September 2017 that she would not “rule out” calling into doubt the integrity of the 2016 election. We still don’t know what occurred,” she said in October 2020, adding that the 2016 presidential election was not handled legally.
Furthermore, Democrats backed Stacey Abrams when she claimed the election was stolen. Hillary Clinton said that Stacey Abrams “should be governor” and “would have won” the Georgia gubernatorial race “if she had a fair election,” adding that Abrams was “deprived of the votes [she] otherwise would have gained.”
Democrat New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has claimed that Abrams’s race was rigged against her. “If Stacey Abrams doesn’t win in Georgia, they stole it,” Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) has said.
According to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), “the evidence tends to imply” that Stacey Abrams’ loss was fraudulently obtained.
Abrams said “we won” in the 2018 election, and she often used the phrase “stolen election.”
