12 People Get Stranded On Disney Park Ride

Twelve individuals were trapped on a roller coaster at Disneyland in Hong Kong, causing emergency personnel to rush to the park in order to rescue them, according to authorities.

According to reports, after the Hyperspace Mountain attraction stopped operating at about 3 pm local time, leaving its riders in need of emergency help.  Around 40 police officers and fire department crew members arrived at the park.

The ride was stopped by activating the roller coaster’s system controls as a safety precaution. Reports show that a Disney representative said that one of the cars, which was transporting twelve people, had come to a complete stop and necessitated the intervention of the fire department.

Disneyland adhered to operating rules, and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department stated in its report that the train was halted in an inconvenient location. A spokesperson from the fire department said that the passengers were successfully evacuated in one hour. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

According to the firm, the Hyperspace Mountain attraction was closed as they investigated.

Hyperspace Mountain has returned and is running as usual after being shuttered for the first government probe. Nevertheless, from February 26th through March 1st, the dark coaster will be inspected and serviced.

Hyperspace Mountain is an all-new take on the classic ride,’ Space Mountain,’ which pays homage to the Star Wars saga. While it is a permanent fixture in Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong, the attraction makes occasional appearances as an overlay at Anaheim, California’s Disneyland Resort.  According to the Disney website’s description, as the rollercoaster speeds through a simulated Star Wars combat, riders will encounter tremendous dips and times of total darkness.

Prices for a regular one-day ticket at Hong Kong Disneyland range from $81.94 to $97.32 (US Dollar) per person. There is a correlation between the time of year and price changes.
